"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." …Howard Thurman
I loved this quote in our calendar this month. As an artist, I found the thing that truly makes me come alive and I'm always grateful, though sometimes I think it is gonna kill me. But being out in nature trying to capture a little of it on a canvas is about as good as it gets!

A new painting called "An Old Friend" 24x30 oil
The model is our friend Kim Carr-Webb. We were at our neighbor Tom Whitakers place out taking some pictures in the field and Kim was game enough to get on the horse with no bridle or anything. The horse was great and Kim loved it. He did decide to walk off with Kim on his back but he didn't go too far luckily!
